Nutrinet Brasil is a study designed to follow, over ten years, 200,000 Brazilians from all regions of the country to investigate the relationship between dietary patterns and morbidity and mortality from noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and cancer.

Developed by the Center for Epidemiological Research in Nutrition and Health of the University of São Paulo (NUPENS/USP), the project is based on a fully online scientific survey, with questionnaires made available to participants every three to four months.

To attract new participants and reach the goal of 200,000 people, the study has been leveraging the potential of social media. In 2022, a mobilization campaign was carried out with digital influencers—including Rita Lobo, Paola Carosella, Bela Gil, Pedro Bial and Gregorio Duvivier—who serve as ambassadors for Nutrinet Brasil and promote the study on their profiles.
