Healthier Communities Alliance

The power of community in support of public health

Health as a constitutional right was born from civil society mobilization. And for this right to remain alive and effective, it must continue to be sustained by the active participation of communities and networked organizations.

It’s in this spirit that the Healthier Communities Alliance  was created: to strengthen ties among institutions that are leaders in the sector, create a space for learning and ongoing capacity building, and keep knowledge circulating—connecting experiences that are already working on the ground.

Times change and challenges evolve, but the strength of an organized and active community remains.

With this in mind, Umane strengthens a network made up of partners from projects supported by the institution, including both those currently underway and those that have already completed their support cycles.
