Mental health at school
Umane partnered with Instituto ABCD to support this Instituto Ame Sua Mente project. It promotes training that helps education professionals understand and support children and adolescents showing signs of difficulties and mental health disorders (including anxiety and depression) to create a more welcoming and humane school environment.
The stress and exhaustion that young people experience due to the pandemic have been much discussed in recent training years. The project also created a protocol to support public-school educators in referring young people who may need specialized mental health services.
The project’s website has a tab dedicated to supporting those who need support with mental health issues and podcasts and informative guides, plus more. Go check it out.
